THE ORCHESTRA
I have always had an appreciation of orchestral music. As such I had a desire to create a series that focussed on the instruments themselves as well as the nimble and talented hands playing them.
I would like to later add another canvas of a piano to the series.
These three canvasses are currently gracing my study which doubles as my studio. Each canvas is 76cm x 102cm
Violin: 1st of the series
If I had even a droplet of musical talent, I would have learned to play the violin.
Since I cannot, I decided to paint one instead.

Trumpet: 2nd in the series
The trumpet is a daring instrument. One that sounds the call to battle, that inspires bravery, one that encourages you to fight your demons until you defeat them.

Saxaphone: 3rd in the series
The soulful sound of a saxaphone is propably the most inspiring of all instruments. It can express excitement, longing, sadness, defeat, love and joy. It is mesmerising.
